BookReverb Terms of Service

This page outlines the terms and conditions that govern your use of BookReverb (“we,” “us,” or “our”), available athttps://bookreverb.com (the “Site”).
By accessing or using any part of the Site or our services (“Services”), you agree to comply with these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. General Terms
- By using the Site or Services, including creating an account, posting a book, or funding a campaign, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
- We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
- You agree not to use the Site in any way that could harm BookReverb or other users, including attempting unauthorized access, disrupting functionality, or violating platform rules.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate access to any part of the Site or Services at any time, without notice or liability.
2. Third-Party Sites
- BookReverb may include links to third-party websites, including Amazon, Google, and others. We do not control or endorse the content or policies of those sites.
- Users are responsible for understanding and complying with the terms of any third-party platform they use, including but not limited to Amazon’s Community Guidelines.
3. User-Generated Content
- Publishers may upload materials related to their books (e.g., covers, descriptions, sample PDFs). We do not verify ownership or accuracy of user-submitted content.
- By uploading content, you grant BookReverb a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote the content in connection with our Services.

4. Platform Use
- Users must be 18 or older to create an account or use the Services.
- Books submitted to BookReverb must be published and available for purchase or download at the time of listing.
- We reserve the right to suspend or remove any user or book at our discretion, including for violations of Amazon’s guidelines, platform abuse, or fraudulent behavior.
- All participation is voluntary. We do not require reviews. Readers are never told what to write, and may confirm reading via either a review link or a book report.
5. Amazon Compliance & Liability
- BookReverb is designed to align with Amazon’s Community Guidelines, particularly the section regarding advanced reader copies (ARCs). We do not pay for reviews, require reviews, or influence review content in any way.
- That said, Amazon does not provide formal approvals for third-party services. Use of the BookReverb platform does not guarantee protection from Amazon enforcement actions.
- You acknowledge that your use of BookReverb is at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for compliance with Amazon’s policies or any third-party platform’s terms.
- BookReverb shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental consequences of using the Services, including account restrictions or content removal on Amazon or elsewhere.
- We do not guarantee the permanence of reviews or reader activity. Readers may delete accounts, remove reviews, or be restricted by Amazon at any time.
- We make no guarantees regarding increases in sales, visibility, or the number or quality of reviews received.
6. Payment and Refund Policy
- Publishers fund their account in order to launch campaigns. These funds are allocated to reader compensation and platform fees as services are rendered.
- Once funds have been used (i.e., a reader has been assigned and begun the assignment), they are non-refundable.
- Unused funds may be eligible for refund upon request, less any applicable processing fees. We reserve the right to deny refund requests if terms or rules were violated.
7. Reader Conduct & Responsibilities
- Readers agree to complete assignments honestly and in good faith. Submission of fraudulent reports, fake reviews, or incomplete work may result in account suspension and forfeiture of payment.
- Readers understand that their participation does not require them to leave a review on Amazon. Book reports are equally valid forms of completion.
8. Campaign Safeguards and Moderation
- BookReverb reserves the right to remove, pause, or edit campaigns that are misleading, violate Amazon’s policies, or use manipulative language.
- Publishers may not offer bonuses, incentives, or side agreements to readers that condition payment on a specific type of feedback or review.
9. Indemnification Clause
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BookReverb and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the Site or Services, including violations of Amazon’s or any third party’s policies.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on BookReverb — including software, source code, design, branding, and user interface — is the property of BookReverb and may not be copied, distributed, modified, or reused without written permission.
11. Platform Reliability
- While we aim to maintain a stable and secure platform, BookReverb does not guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free performance. Technical issues may occasionally arise.

12. Miscellaneous
- These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the United States of America.
- If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision shall be severed without affecting the remainder of the agreement.
